Counter CultureThis project is based on a brochure I designed for an exhibition called, “Counter Culture”. I wanted to focus on keeping the design simple and neutral to complement the black and white photography supplied.
To balance this I also wanted to reflect the message behind the exhibition, to help these people’s voices get heard. I added an orange overlay on the photos to add a subtle pop of colour whilst allowing room for the text to shine.
I wanted it to say, “I am here. I am the next generation.”
I really focused on that almost grungy, rebellious 90’s feel with the font choices and photography reflecting that.
